Inspired directly by my experience of a violent night-time thunderstorm approaching over the Rhodope Mountains in southern Bulgaria, the lightning revealing a slither of mountain lit for split-seconds, and the thunder bouncing off the landscape, 1500m above sea level. The storm passes directly over me and eventually recedes, offering the same experience to others as it travels slowly across the region.
